Everything You Need to Know About Attending BarCamp Portland 7

BarCamp Portland 7 starts tomorrow evening! If you plan to attend but haven’t yet RSVP’d, please do so now. Read on for important details about attending this weekend’s event.

Friday, 3/29: 6:30pm-9pm

Doors open Friday evening at 6:30pm. Meet other BarCampers, brainstorm session ideas and explore the Digital Interactivity & Mini-Maker Expo (schedule).

Saturday, 3/31: 9am-9pm

Doors open at 9am, we’ll kick-off at 10am and sessions begin at 11am (detailed session schedule).

The mini-maker expo continues with Restless Timber (11am-1pm), Neighbor Market Project (2:30-4:30pm), Brewing Beer (2:30pm-6pm) and the conclusion of Crowd-Sourced Font Design (5pm-6pm).


There are 6 session areas across five 5-minute time slots, plus an open evening. Projectors are available in two rooms and these will be noted on the session board. We can’t guarantee that you’ll get a room with a projector, if you absolutely need a projector, bring your own.


Friday evening we’ll provide beverages and hearty snacks. Saturday morning we’ll provide: morning coffee and tea**. Saturday afternoon and evening we’ll provide hearty snacks and beverages.

**For extra special bonus points, bring some breakfast items to share on Saturday morning!

You’ll be on your own for Saturday lunch. But, have no fear! Meetup with some fellow campers and check out one of the nearby lunch places.

(Gluten-free and vegan options will be available whenever we serve food.)
