What is BarCamp?

BarCamp is about growing communities and cultivating ideas. BarCamps happen all over the world and throughout the year. During BarCamp, people from diverse backgrounds come together to share what they know and what they love. BarCamp content is not pre-scheduled or determined. Rather, participants collaborate to create the schedule at the beginning of the event based on the interests of those in attendance.

Who Should Attend BarCamp?

If you like sharing with and learning from others, then BarCamp is for you. It is for hobbyists, seasoned experts and everyone in between. Never spoken? BarCamp is the perfect place to start. Working on something new? BarCamp is a great place to debut your plans and recruit help.

How to Attend?

BarCamp Portland is free. Be sure to register to let us know you’ll be coming, and consider contributing towards our costs if you are able to.

How Can I Help?

BarCamp Portland is run entirely by volunteers and we have an open planning process. There are plenty of ways you can pitch in, so fill out our volunteer interest form and give us an idea of how you’d like to help. If you’re interested in planning BarCamp Portland, join the planning group.
